I am a dreamer! Even though I like to dream of the possibilities in my life, I am talking about waking up every morning remembering and being affected by my dreams. My husband says he often doesn’t dream, but I think the reality is that he doesn’t remember what he dreamed about.
The beautiful thing about remembering your dreams is that many times there are messages and feelings associated with them that I carry into my day. The best ones involve my mom who passed away 3 years ago.
My mother was a person who had an unbreakable faith. She lived her life in the service of her church and her family. She had 10 children, 5 girls and 5 boys she would love to clarify.
She would often bless us with nuggets of her wisdom (“Momisms” we call them). One of her favorites was, “Everything happens for a reason.”
It is this truth that has carried me through some very difficult times in my life.
While I understand there are many things that seem incomprehensible to us in this world, I truly believe, as my mother did, that there will be a time when things will make sense.
We are all faced with challenges, some known only to ourselves.
- Physical illness
- Mental illness
- Addictions
- Obesity
- Poverty
- Racism
- Sexism
This is a small list of the difficulties we face in our lives but the truth is, we all have challenges we need to overcome.
If you can dream it, you can do it.

We all have nuggets of happiness and love that enter our life daily. It is important to recognize these and to cherish them for what they are.
Today, a new little nugget of love has entered our family. My Goddaughter gave birth to a beautiful daughter. Truly a blessing for all of us.

It is important to dream about the life we want to live.
- What does that life look like?
- Where do I live?
- Who do I want to live with?
- What kind of job do I have?
- What do I do in my time off?
It is by answering these questions for yourself that you can create the life you desire. You deserve it!
