Hello new friend.

Welcome to my website. As with all of you, I have had to re-think/re-develop my life with Covid-19 pandemic. This development caused me to examine my values, my time, my family, my relationships, my job, my home.

My name is Mary Ellen and I currently live in Florida. I have three sons, two of whom live on Long Island and one in Chicago with his wife. My husband also has three children, two daughters and a son whom have given us 8 magnificent grandchildren. They all live in upstate New York. This distance has generally not caused too much of a problem for me as we have all been fortunate enough to be able to hop on a plane and visit each other often. This pandemic, however, has changed all of that. If not for Face Time, Zoom, and Skype, I would not have seen my children/grandchildren since January or longer. We definitely miss the “in-person” hugs and visits.

I am an educator, which means my career life has also changed dramatically. Classrooms have become virtual experiences and gone are the days (hopefully temporarily) of children running in giving hugs to the teacher.

This isolation, both in reality and perceived, has caused me to re-define myself and explore what brings me joy and fulfillment. This website/blog is a result of that exploration. I hope you join me in this journey.
